These water lilies adorn the pond that fronts the Botanical Building in Balboa Park in San Diego. The pinks and salmons of the flowers complement the warm and cool greens of the lily pads. The light on this day was clear and beautiful — as it seems to be virtually every day in San Diego.

This watercolor won an award at the Art Matters Show at The Huntington in 2022.
