Much of old Granada looks like this — beautiful buildings and objects with centuries of patina. This stunning wrought iron gate protects an equally stunning wood door. Made of solid wrought iron, the gate must weigh a ton. I was glad the church entrance was closed on this day, allowing me to get a direct frontal view of the gate. The light was overcast, which was perfect for drawing all of the nuances of tones.
